Downward Dog Teacher Training is Coming to Sun Yoga!
Sun Yoga is proud to be joining forces this coming winter with Downward Dog Yoga Centre, one of Canada’s most preeminent yoga studios. Take advantage of the opportunity to study with Ron Reid, Diane Bruni, Marla Joy and David Bruni away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. This 200-hour Basic Certification program runs from January through March 2011, with classes taking place Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
The Course
Basic Certification, comprised of two 100-hour Modules, provides the foundation for teaching yoga. Ron Reid, Diane Bruni, Marla Joy, and David Bruni will introduce the principles of leading beginner-level classes. Course topics range from asana exploration, to yoga philosophy, physiology and bio-mechanics. In order to complete the 200-hour certification, students will be required to participate in and observe classes at Downward Dog’s downtown and/or beach locations. Participants have the option of completing both Modules I and II at Sun Yoga back-to-back, or may enroll only in Module I and complete the second Module at another time, either at Downward Dog Downtown or at our annual intensive in Puerto Escondido, Mexico. The Result
Once you have completed Basic Certification with Downward Dog and received your 200-hour Teaching Certificate, you will be eligible for our Advanced Certification Program - Module III. Additionally, you may join the Yoga Alliance as a Register Yoga Teacher (RYT). Downward Dog is proud to offer comprehensive Teacher Training that encourages depth of knowledge, practice and application. Those who have graduated with instructor’s certificates from our program have gone on to manage and teach at well-respected studios across Canada.

Fees and Payment Options
Please note, registration and payment is only available through Downward Dog.
Module I: $2250
Module II: $2250
(pricing does not include HST)
Deposit: $300+HST is due upon acceptance. This fee is non-refundable.
Balance: Due one week prior to the beginning of the program.
If Modules I and II are purchased at the same time, you will receive a discounted rate of $4200 plus HST for both. In this case, a deposit of $600+HST is due upon acceptance.
Teacher Training Pass: Once you have paid the deposit for the program we will start your Teacher Training pass for classes at the Downward Dog. Included in the price of the program is a 4-month unlimited pass tif you are attending both Modules or a package of 42 classes. If only attending one module you will receive a 2-month unlimited pass or a package of 21 classes. We suggest you attend classes at the Downward Dog prior to the beginning of the program. This pass may be used for up to one year from the start of the program.
